Reuse & Repurpose
Once that candle burns down, don't just throw it away! It can be reused in several ways, and we've listed some ideas for you below:
- Remove any excess wax by placing the used candle in the freezer. Once frozen, remaining wax should be easy to lift out with a light tap or a utensil that will allow you to crack the wax so that it comes out in pieces.
- If it's a fragrance that you love, you can even reuse those pieces of wax in a candle wax melter!
- A blow dryer also offers another alternative for melting and removing excess wax in a used candle jar.
- Use a cloth to remove remaining wax and then wash!
- From there, you can use your vessel as a planter, pen holder, penny jar, makeup brush holder, toothbrush holder, trinket tray, and even as a simple decorative piece if you purchased a hand poured cement vessel. The possibilities are endless!
